American luxury fashion brand Diane Von Furstenberg (DVF) and Archive, which powers customised resale for the most innovative fashion brands, have partnered to launch the DVF ReWrap resale programme. ReWrap offers a first-of-its-kind search feature called Missed Connections that enables the DVF community to connect personally as they search for specific pieces to refresh their collections.

The Missed Connections section will even include a ‘Diane in Search Of’ list where the designer herself puts out a call for the pieces she wants to add to her own closet, including items from the 2014 Andy Warhol print collection. The search feature is designed to encourage potential sellers to come back often to see if they might have an in-demand item hanging in their own closet, DVF and Archive said in a joint press release.

“ReWrap makes room for everyone—those who have loved DVF over the years can give their pieces new life and younger generations can discover pieces from the past,” said Diane von Furstenberg, founder of DVF.

“We are so excited about the launch of ReWrap,” said Talita von Furstenberg, co-chairwoman, DVF. “The site has been created to celebrate DVF’s unique history, with imagery from our iconic archives and a name that specifically honours the wrap dress.”

Brands such as DVF are carefully merchandising their re-commerce channels and leveraging Archive’s technology to elevate their branded resale experience and make it more similar to shopping new. The peer-to-peer ReWrap programme, which will also features some items from the brand’s own archive, is custom designed and highly editorialised to reflect the essence of the DVF brand, added the release.

“DVF is renowned worldwide for its iconic prints, silhouettes, special pieces and, of course, the peerless jersey wrap dress,” said Emily Gittins, CEO and co-founder of Archive. “We are honoured to power ReWrap and give the DVF community an engaging and personalised way to enjoy and extend the life of the brand’s timeless pieces. As resale continues to evolve, brands like DVF are leading the way by creating unique, thoughtful, and personalised resale experiences.”

Archive powers a wide range of customisable business models that make it easy for brands to launch and scale fully branded re-commerce channels. The technology platform gives brands the flexibility to quickly personalise and elevate the resale shopping experience to build closer relationships with their customers.
