Demandware, the leading on-demand ecommerce solutions provider, announced the Demandware Rapid Launch Program, a comprehensive ecommerce framework designed to help apparel retailers launch fully branded, feature-rich ecommerce sites on an accelerated schedule and with lower implementation costs.

The Rapid Launch Program combines Demandware's leading on-demand ecommerce platform; the Demandware SiteGenesis apparel storefront, optimized with proven best practices; and expert implementation methodologies to accelerate the launch of next generation apparel, footwear and department store ecommerce sites. With the Rapid Launch Program, retailers can have a new site up and running on the Demandware eCommerce Platform in less than 16 weeks, at affordable implementation costs.

Retailers who begin the site development project by June 30, 2009 can launch a fully branded site by the 2009 holiday season. Once launched, sites can be further extended by leveraging the complete functionality and customization capabilities of the Demandware eCommerce Platform.

"Time-to-market and time-to-return are the key metrics in today's economy. Online retailers want to minimize or even avoid investments in software, implementation services and staff-investments that return little or no value. They prefer to maximize investments in branding and merchandising-investments that have bottom-line impact.

Demandware's Rapid Launch Program lets online apparel retailers focus their resources on branding and merchandising in designing and deploying new, full-function, best practices ecommerce sites," said Mitchell Kramer, senior vice president and senior consultant, Patricia Seybold Group.

Demandware has partnered with leading retailers in the US and Europe, including Barneys New York, Nine West, s.Oliver, Jones New York and Timberland to launch more than 30 apparel sites. The Rapid Launch Program leverages Demandware's collective expertise and knowledge of apparel best practices to provide a fast, cost-effective way to launch high-performance sites. And because it is built on the Demandware eCommerce Platform, retailers who deploy the Rapid Launch Program will receive automatic seasonal upgrades, and will be able to continually implement new innovative site features that enhance the branding experience.

The Demandware Rapid Launch Program includes:
• Demandware eCommerce Platform – full functionality of the leading on-demand ecommerce platform, with advanced merchandising, complete control over all aspects of the ecommerce site and automatic seasonal product upgrades
• Demandware SiteGenesis Apparel Storefront – a best-in-class online storefront purposefully designed and optimized for the needs of apparel retailers, with an array of customizable design templates and more than 250 apparel-specific features, such as Shop by Outfit, AJAX-based search refinements, and style/SKU merchandising control
• Plug-and-Play Integrations – with leading technologies, including analytics, payment, campaign management and other essential add-on ecommerce capabilities
