Underwear market expected to touch 500 bn yuan in 5 yrs

According to the result of a national authority's survey, in China, 98.7 percent female are married, 93.8 percent are unmarried, 98.8 percent are white-collar workers, and 92.1 percent are housewives. Chinese women have strong desires for body shape.
99.6 percent of Chinese women want to keep their breasts erect, 98.6 percent concentrate on keeping on slender, and 96.5 percent anxiously expect to retain their hips in a constant form.
According to related data, in the coming five years, the potential sale in China's underwear market is expected to be 500 billion yuan, of which the market share of body shaping underwear is expected to take over 50 percent of the domestic underwear market.
At present China has over 3000 underwear manufacturers with more than 400 companies having stepped into scaled production, but most local brands are still at developing stage.
