Japanese firm Sanyo Shokai's net sales soar 11.2% in Q1 FY24

Japanese apparel manufacturing company Sanyo Shokai saw a net sales increase of 11.2 per cent to 15.9 billion yen ($1.1 billion) in Q1 FY24, from 14.35 billion yen in Q1 FY23.
The company's operating profit also increased by 106 per cent to 1.035 billion yen.
Furthermore, earnings per share rose to 76.90 yen in Q1 FY24, up from 46.12 yen in Q1 FY23.

Japanese apparel manufacturer Sanyo Shokai Ltd has reported a 11.2 per cent net sales growth to 15.9 billion yen (approximately $1.1 billion) in the first quarter (Q1) of fiscal 2024 (FY24) ended on May 31, 2023, over the sales of 14.35 billion yen in the corresponding period of prior fiscal. The company’s operating profit grew by 106 per cent to 1.035 billion yen, compared to 0.5 billion yen in Q1 FY23.

The company’s ordinary profit amounted to 1.025 billion yen in Q1 FY24, compared to 0.59 billion yen in the first quarter of the previous fiscal, the company said in its consolidated financial results for the three months ended May 31, 2023.

Furthermore, earnings per share in Q1 FY24 was 76.90 yen, compared to 46.12 yen in the first quarter of FY23.
