The bacteria has two potential platforms for generating odour: Skin and the garment. Leveraging EPA-registered copper and silver technology, Sciessent’s Agion automatically releases its antimicrobial components only when conditions for bacteria growth are present. This results in textiles and garments that stay clean, dry, and smelling fresh longer than those containing any other antimicrobial solution, according to a press release by Sciessent.

Agion antimicrobial solutions from Sciessent have been incorporated into a wide range of healthcare, industrial, and consumer applications, including medical devices such as central venous catheters and IV access ports.
