Futura Polyesters reports profit rise of 461.40%

Futura Polyesters has registered a quantum jump in net profits for the first quarter ended June 30, 2006.
The company reported a 461.40 percent rise in profits from Rs5.70 million to Rs32.00 million for the period. During the same period last year the sales declined 0.64 percent to Rs1348.60 million.
Operating margins improved to 4.12 percent during the quarter, a rise of 43.16 basis points as compared to the same period last year. Net margins, on the other hand, rose from 0.42 percent to 2.33 percent during the quarter.
