New Satya Paul range fashions popular culture in art!

For Puneet Nanda at Satya Paul, it is one of the many steps to bring art closer to real life. He has expressed the various moods and images of everyday life in the form of contemporary fashion. For example, there are hearts printed aesthetically over a dress that represents the emotion of love.
Inspired by Andy Warhol, Puneet has even created a sari that has a picture of Mr. Satya Paul – his father, the man who started the label in 1985.
Puneet has used Roy Lichtenstein's popular brightly colored pop graphics and brush strokes in the Lichtenstein inspired creations. Barcodes, money, lips and even Bollywood icons are among the few subjects that are a part of Puneet's palette in this collection.
He says, “It is our tribute to these great works of art by the studio's rendition of these into innovative artists' work through an interplay of colors, balanced by intricate embroideries and materials.”
The collection comprises of beautiful saris, salwar-kameez sets and dresses, and is available at select Satya Paul boutiques across the country.
