The Intimas Board announces that Michael Hobbs has tendered his resignation as the Group's non-executive Chairman, as a result of his other personal business commitments, which mean that he is now living and working in Italy, and consequently feels unable to devote the time necessary to continue fulfilling the role of Chairman.
In order to ensure the smooth handover to a new Chairman, Michael has indicated his willingness to remain with the Group until March 2008. A further announcement regarding his departure date, and the appointment of a successor, will be made in due course.
Carol Duncumb, Chief Executive, comments: "On behalf of the Board and of shareholders, I would like to express my sincere thanks to Michael for the role he has played in guiding the group through a challenging period. In particular, I would like to thank him for his input into our change in strategic direction, as we have evolved from a business focused on the design and supply of own label merchandise to a business combining own label with the development of its own brands."
Intimas Group is a designer and supplier of ladies' intimate apparel, including lingerie, nightwear and swimwear.
