KarstadtQuelle sells purchasing arm to Li & Fung

A further part of the agreement is the sale of KarstadtQuelle International Services AG (St. Gallen), with a total of 1,100 employees, to Li & Fung Ltd. The Li & Fung trading company has many years of experience as a procurement partner for international department store groups. It generates annual sales of approx. €6 billion and buys 47 percent of its goods in the People's Republic of China.
KarstadtQuelle AG is Europe's leading department store and mail order group. It sells the small branches (Karstadt Kompakt) and the SinnLeffers, Wehmeyer, Runners Point, GolfHouse and Wehmeyer specialty store chains.
