Aramark wins 2005 Silver Diversity Awards sponsors by GVFHRA

world leading food & career apparel managing service provider aramark corporation has won the 2005 silver diversity award, sponsored by the greater valley forge human resource association, inc. (gvfhra), a regional chapter of the society for human resource management (shrm).

each year, the gvfhra recognizes organizations in the greater philadelphia area that are leaders in diversity efforts. companies are evaluated in several areas, including diversity education and training, recruitment, strategic alliances, supplier relations, diversity development programs, and how diversity initiatives are tied to strategic business practices.

aramark has been widely recognized for its ongoing commitment to diversity. earlier this year, aramark chairman and ceo joseph neubauer received an award of excellence from the thurgood marshall scholarship fund in philadelphia, honoring his professional and community contributions. dennis maple, executive vice president, aramark education, facilities services, was recognized as one of the 75 most powerful blacks in corporate america for 2005 by black enterprise magazine.
