The chart topping diva, also star of a number of box office hits, joined the number of A-grade celebs regularly using the treatment originally discovered by scientists from the former Soviet Union.

Her closely guarded secret was revealed in a world exclusive report on the VH1 show, The Fabulous life of Jennifer Lopez and Mark Anthony.

Placental cosmetics were first invented as an injection by Dr. Paul Niehans in the early 1930's. Placenta is the lining of the womb that is expelled after birth.

Many cultures consider it rich in nutrients because the placenta is where the foetus receives nourishment. Placenta cosmetics are believed to have many benefits for the skin. Originally, placenta was used to help preserve the youthful appearance and to improve the vitality.

After that, placenta was used more often as a popular anti-aging product. It was called "Anti-Aging live cell therapy".
When placenta was first used in cosmetics, manufacturers believed that the cells extracted from the placenta promoted the stimulation of tissue growth and removed wrinkles.

Natural skin care products with cell extracts have been proven to be more effective than those without cell extracts.

Researchers say their studies prove that people using cell cosmetics, you are less likely to become dependant on the products as you would with products made with plant extracts.

This, they say, is because cosmetics made from placenta cells are made with our own biological structure.
