Cotton prices at KCA (Karachi Cotton Association) dropped to Rs 2525 per maund on the spot market, according to the official Karachi Cotton Association press release, today.
This was Rs 25 below the yesterday's and previous week's stable closing price of Rs 2550.
Around 2000 bales changed hands at Upper Sindh for Rs2550/2575, 400 at Chani Goth for Rs2525, 400 at Mongi Bunglow for Rs2500, 3000 bales at Bhawalpur for Rs2575, 5000 bales at Khanpur for Rs 2550 and 1000 bales at DGK for Rs 2550.
Cotton Seed Market Rate for Punjab variety stood at Rs 400, while it was between Rs 380-390 for Sindh (Nawabshah).
Cottlook Indices for A Index stood at 60.10 and that for B Index was recorded at 58.25.
