Analysts predicted cotton lint production to decline to 107,100 tons of during the 2005-06 season, nine percent lower than 10,821 tons in 2004-05 season.
However, incentives and other generally positive developments within the agriculture sector are expected to aid cotton farmers in Tanzania to rise up again.
Thus, during the 2006-07 marketing season, production is forecasted 120,000 tons of lint.
