Prices remained steady of raw cotton lint at the end of October.
Arrival of raw cotton gained impetus in all cotton markets. Farmers were expecting quick cash back for their seed cotton. Prices were steady in Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan.
Bengal Deshi variety was available at price between Rs1,560 and Rs1,600, V-797 between Rs12,500 and Rs13,000 per candy spot and Shankar-6 was quoted between Rs17,800 and Rs18,500.
In Madhya Pradesh prices for MECH-1/H4 was Rs18,000 per candy spot, while in Maharashtra for staple of 28 mm to 31 mm prices ranged between Rs17,000 and Rs18,500 per candy.
In Andhra Pradesh prices of MCU was quoted between Rs19,800 and Rs21,000 per candy spot. In Karnataka DCH32 was quoted between Rs32,000 and Rs33,200 per candy spot.
