Production of cotton spinning industry of Germany increased in September against the record low registered in August.
According to the Europa Index of Cotton Spinning Output (2000=100, seasonally adjusted), cotton yarn production reached 56.1 in September, an increase from the record low in August of 52.3. These figures still reflected 17.5 percent annual drop.
Since additional mills ceased manufacturing after the decrease in domestic demand, German cotton yarn production tumbled sharply in 2005.
German production units look forward to the former Eastern European regions, like the Czech Republic for marketing their output.
Monthly cotton yarn production from January to September averaged a ten percent annual monthly drop; averaging 18.5 percent during the last four months but cotton fabric production remained stronger.
According to Europa Index of Cotton Weaving Output (2000=100, seasonally adjusted), cotton production in September reached 75.7, which recorded a drop from 80.5 in August and an annual drop of 6.1 percent.
