For the week ending December 1, 2005 and shipments thru November 24, 2005, there were 300 bales in new net sales this past week versus 9,300 bales in sales reported the previous week.

Current registered export sales for the 2005/06 crop year are now 216,900 bales versus 216,600 bales last week. This level of sales is 54.1% of the sales level at the same time last year when 400,800 bales in sales had already been registered.

Current shipments stand at 50.5% of last year with 79,300 bales shipped versus 156,900 bales shipped at the same time last year.

This week's purchases were made by China (900), Pakistan (900) and India (800).

There were 200 bales in destination changes this past week from Unknown (-200). The new registered destination is Brazil (200).

There were 2,200 bales in cancellations this past week from Switzerland (1,700) and China (500).

There were 4,100 bales in exports this past week versus 29,200 bales in export shipments during the previous week.

Shipments this past week went to India (2,000), Vietnam (700), Japan (600), Brazil (200), Indonesia (200), Korea (200), Thailand (200) and China (100).

The top five leading importers this year are led by China with purchases of 58,600 bales. India, Japan, Indonesia and Germany round out the top five with purchases of 48,100 bales, 39,300 bales, 14,300 bales and 12,200 bales respectively.

These five nations account for 79.5% of all theexport based purchases of U.S. Pima made to date this year.

Net sales for the 2006/07 continue to total 1,100 bales.
