With weakened exports and increased imports, cotton textile trade balance between Thailand and China remained flat in 2005.
Imports of cotton textile of Thailand from China during January – October, grew 16.3 percent to 5.992 billion Thai baht.
This import growth has included both yarn and fabric, but cotton thread has been the major product to witness growth.
Cotton thread registered 103.1 percent increase in imports, reaching 142.226 million Thai baht.
Talking about cotton textile exports from Thailand to China, it has come down 33.2 percent to 1.639 billion Thai baht during January – October. Almost every major product witnessed decline.
