Cotton growers and ginning factories would be given additional Rs 50 per maund as incentive, stated Federal Minister for Textile Mushtaq Ali Cheema at a reception hosted by Pakistan Readymade Garment Manufacturers & Exporters Association (PRGMEA).
Explaining the incentive, Cheema added that implementation on new cotton plan would begin the next week.
A special incentive of Rs 30 per maund would be given to those factories, which have been set up with advanced ginning machineries.
Cheema also added that sales tax perceived as a major stumbling block in the development of textile, has been eliminated totally.
A New Labour Law draft in the offing will soon be presented to the cabinet for its approval, also informed Cheema.
