PG Denim, a new project developed by the visionary mind Paolo Gnutti from Italy, is displaying its new set of collaborations and strategic actions to expand the tailor-made approach of the company at Munich Fabric Start, in the Bluezone area (H6-booths A 01 and A 03). The international fabric trade fair is being held from January 29-31, 2019, in Germany.

Deeply inspired by the conceptual designs of Japanese most authentic denim from the forties and fifties, the new collection ‘Big in Japan’ aims at redefining boundaries of a glorious tradition. Interpreted with the unique approach that has marked Gnutti’s style over the years, the line, designed in collaboration with The Tailor Pattern Support, draws inspiration from simple and neat lines, in a tailor-made selection of unique garments reinterpreting military and work classics, according to a PG Denim press release.

The long-time partnership with the world-renowned Dutch designer and the Italian denim head resumes with one objective in mind: exploring new ways of making denim, going beyond traditional borders. This is why this brand-new collection develops exclusive garments realised starting from a cotton textile base mixed with vinyl. It is a project born out of the idea of creating new paths for denim, crossing new boundaries while staying in touch with the authentic Italian tradition.

To further promote the sartorial and integrated approach that marks the true identity of PG Denim, the company has joined the special showroom project ‘The Denim Window’ in Amsterdam. This is a chance to showcase the world of denim innovation connecting companies to brands and promoting the industry through events and exhibitions. The objective of the project is also to make people and stakeholders learn about all the steps involved in creating the final product, allowing them to come across fabric mills, garment makers, chemical suppliers, fibre producers, and trims, all in one place.

The main focus of the new collection is laminated effects on denim. Bright and eye-catching, the laminated effects dominate the fresh proposals for the new season, features both with drawing and with total coverage. Moreover, the ‘Floc’ fabric has made its return for the summer season, showing how seasons are more and more blending new trends and materials.

The fabrics are produced completely ad-hoc, and created through a supply chain with PG Denim, conceiving and designing the fabrics, which are then developed by Berto or Eurotessile, the two companies part of this completely Made In Italy project.

A visionary and out-of-the-box format, PG Denim offers a multitude of products ranging from denim to fashion. It includes garments made to meet different market niches mainly focusing on medium-high and high-end productions through a tailor-made approach that makes them unique. (GK)
