The pilot project for the initiative in 2021 witnessed participation from over 8 lakh entrepreneurs, 20,000 subscribers, over 42,000 help desk queries, and mentoring for 1,190 MSMEs to overcome export challenges.
Indian MSME minister Narayan Rane launched the initiative at a summit organised by ISF in New Delhi.
“E-commerce exports play a pivotal role in enhancing customer base and increasing the scale of small businesses in India, and initiatives like these are crucial in enhancing their capabilities and contribution to India's economic development,” the minister was quoted as saying by a news agency.
“The lack of exposure to global markets inhibits entrepreneurs from exploring international opportunities. 'IndiaXports 2.0' aims to change this paradigm, encouraging MSMEs to broaden their horizons and participate in the global marketplace,”said ISF president Vinod Kumar.
The discussions at the summit addressed challenges like regulatory compliance and competition while proposing strategies for economic growth and underscored the pivotal role of regulatory changes in fostering exponential export growth.
