Flipkart recently announced a partnership with National Skill Development Corporation’s (NSDC) Logistics Sector Skill Council (LSC) to train 20,000 of its delivery executives across India. The partnership is aimed at certifying the supply chain workforce in product delivery and customer experience and training its additional 30,000-strong supply chain workforce.

Flipkart in conjunction with LSC is conducting eight-hour training modules for its delivery executives to impart them knowledge on the finer nuances of the delivery mechanism, according to a news agency report.

These sessions help workers understand local transportation regulations, end-to-end supply chain and offer a holistic view of the e-commerce industry. These also impart soft skills like how to interact with customers better.

Upon successful completion of the training, the delivery executives are awarded ‘Recognition of Prior Learning’ (RPL) certification as per National Skill Qualification Framework (NSFQ). Issued by the Indian ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship, this certificate is recognized across seven countries, including Germany, Denmark, Australia and Saudi Arabia. (DS)
