Vardhman Group, a textile conglomerate producing fibres, yarns, fabrics, garments, etc has collaborated with sourcing show Apparel Sourcing Week (ASW) 2020 to showcase its latest fabric collections in diverse categories for S/S 2021 in ASW’s biannual textile innovation tradeshow, Textrum to be held at Sheraton Grand, Whitefield, Bengaluru from June 18-20.

As Textrum S/S 21 is focused on performance and sustainability this time around, the various collections will boast of natural fibres and textures, addressing both the pressing demand for responsible qualities and the unwaning appetite for crafted looks. At the same time, the fancy fabric categories promise to match the pace of reignited evening wear, with opulent dobbies and intriguing sheers in growing eco-sound options. Discreet yarn accents define new essentials, as natural imperfections and irregularities are celebrated across a wide range of core qualities for both smart and casual applications.

Through Textrum S/S 2021, Vardhman Group intends to showcase its strength and commitment towards sustainability, and thus strives to remain up to date with sustainable developments and build a mill for eco-conscious fabric collections. The diverse range to be showcased at Textrum S/S 21 include cottons, linens, hemp and ramie casual plains as well as colour-woven checks and stripes with structures for breathable high-summer shirting, jackets and tailoring. For women, sheer fabric will be up on display – exploring intriguing effects with shifting colours, blended fibres and layered patterns.

Another unique aspect of Textrum S/S 2021 turning it into one of the most sought-after spring-summer season collections of the year will be how brilliantly the hosts will connect it with the digital world. Vardhaman’s exceptional range will boast of simple fibres such as responsibly sourced, BCI, recycled and organic cotton, fine hemp, and cellulosic fibre blends such as eco-viscose and tencel, green gold, coolmax, kooltex, feel fresh, etc, with a sound focus on keeping the patterns strong and loud enough to match the taste of today's youth.

Visitors at ASW 2020 will be able to witness various performance textiles with tech-focused yarns on display including T400, stretch nylons, etc – offering a vast range falling under numerous categories from perfect office wear options to breezy outfits to set the holiday mood right.

In continuation to Autumn/Winter 2020/2021, retracted and crinkled surfaces will keep the momentum for Textrum S/S 21 – updating a wide spectrum of fabrics, from feminine to masculine to uni-cloth and natural blends. Seer suckers and elasticated smocking effects will offer a delicate and refined update, driving this fabric manipulation as a trans seasonal look for smart, relaxed and evening wear.

Besides showcasing S/S 2021 at ASW 2020, Textrum will also give the audiences a few early glimpses of its Fall/Winter 2021 collection at the forthcoming sourcing show.
