US' Nike SB launches Day One skate shoe tailored for kids

The world of skate is being taken over by the new generation, who are pushing the limits on their boards at younger ages. With the next generation of riders in mind, Nike SB is releasing the Day One, the first SB shoe designed specifically for kids.

The Day One’s cupsole construction is designed to give kids a stable, supportive ride. Excess foam was removed from the shoe to reduce weight. The upper features a combination of suede overlays and mesh panleling to help with durability, while still keeping the shoe breathable. To help with cushioning on big-impact tricks, the shoe features a visible Zoom Air unit in the heel. The rubber outsole is computationally designed to help improve boardfeel and gives you all the flick you need.
