AIFW reaffirms Amsterdam's status as capital of inspiration & luxury

Amsterdam's ambitions as a fashion city are more than serious, as the January edition of the growing AIFW platform proved once again with its winning mix of commerce and creativity.
• Over 50 designers took to the catwalks across town, providing inspiration and direction to over 12000 buyers, stylists, press and other professionals. The AIFW show programme combines local and foreign labels and brands, as well as young Dutch design talent
• Trade at the local Modefabriek and Label Expo fairs was booming, attracting over 10.000 professional visitors.
• The main shows were held at the official AIFW venue, including Blue Blood, Mada van Gaans, Organised Confusion by Anke Baedi, Percy Irausquin, Kiata Kwanda, Katrin Neyer, Ilja Visser, Mart Visser Collection, Wolford, Harrison Wong, Daryl van Wouw, Yes Master and group shows including Mattijs van Bergen, Catta Donkersloot, Corne Gabriels, Dan Gonen, Sjaak Hullekes, Shoko Kawaida, Sebastiaan Kramer, Jacob Lesman, Elke Lutgerink, Angela Ooi, Tulay Palit, Antoine Peters, Rutger Prommenschenckel, Miesko van Rijsewijk, Teppei Sugaya, Yuhji Takahashi, Catalina Vicens, Pia Wessels and Abenie de Wever as well as a burgeoning off-show and trade presentation programme.
• The inspiration programme offered illustration and photography exhibitions, lectures and, naturally, a string of parties, visited by thousands of professionals and consumers alike.
• The Fortis Fashion Business Exchange programme brings together fashion professionals from across the industry in workshops, lectures and a successful network event.
