NID students bag honours at WLIFW Photography Contest

Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WLIFW) has proved to be a morale booster for three National Institute of Design (NID) students undergoing Apparel Designing course, bagging the first prize in newly introduced category of Fashion Photography Competition.
The competition titled Eye on Fashion, attracted entries from several young fashion designers and students from across the country.
Winning entry was judged by a jury of veteran photographers and fashion experts from the industry.
Ajeet Mishra, Raj Shekaran and Amitya Ranjan were the winners who submitted their photograph Sound of Light under Street Fashion category.
This trio will receive the award at a grand finale in New Delhi on April 9.
In Street Fashion category, fashion that remains elusive and yet could be found anywhere on street was captured, informed Ajeet.
The trio worked together to get the desired effect of the picture. Ajeet became the model, the others participated in styling, searching for the correct location and finally, capturing the picture on a digital camera.
Ajeet wore simple clothes in order to create street look effect conveyed Ajeet.
The caption Sound of Light is justified as in the photograph you find an unassuming figure standing strong amidst the running stream of light.
Special effect was created by reducing the shutter speed.
Besides Sound of Light, three other pictures were also sent, titled Roadlight Romeo, Andy Was Here For Five Minutes, and Colour Factor.
