National Fair to bring new fashion in Latin America

ABIT announces that the National Fair for Raw Material Suppliers for the Cap, Gift and Accessory Industry, the most important event for the segment in the country, will be held May 24-26, in Apucarana, State of Paraná, in southern Brazil, where the biggest number of cap manufacturers is concentrated. This year, the fair expects to receive approximately 5 thousand manufacturers from Brazil and other countries in Latin America.

With the objective of introducing the sector's new fashion trends to businessmen and manufacturers, the Expoboné will hold the Customized Cap Fashion Show as one of its activities, scheduled for the 25th.

Like last year, design students will make the pieces from Senai/Cetiq in Rio de Janeiro. According to Cristina Seixas, a fashion design teacher at the institution, this year's fashion show shall follow the spring/summer 2007 fashion trends, with the themes of romanticism, and ethnic and urban OFFs. 'We are carrying out research to identify these trends and we can transpose them to the caps, but I can inform that a lot of shine, embroidery, and different floral designs and textures will be used,' explained the teacher.
