'Innovation in Footwear Materials' at WSA EXPO

The Materials at WSA Expo & Conference to be held in Las Vegas, USA 19-21 February, 2008 will offer an educational workshop program, crafted specifically for footwear, handbags, and accessories design, development and sourcing professionals. 'Innovation in Footwear Materials' is the first workshop to be announced within this exciting new program and will be presented by the highly regarded, Ars Arpel School, in Italy.
It will address the entire spectrum of footwear materials innovation available and those in development for the future. The Materials Expo is co-located with The WSA Show and The Collections at WSA, the largest and most comprehensive footwear marketplaces in the world.
Courtney Harold, Show Director comments, "Not only will the Materials Expo bring the most innovative suppliers to the footwear industry, it will unify and elevate materials knowledge becoming the intellectual center of footwear sourcing in the U.S."
Paolo Marenghi, professor of footwear and leather goods product development at Ars Sutoria School, will deliver the 60-minute presentation, examining different aspects of materials innovation from fashion to technology & performance.
The seminar will provide an end-to-end assessment of the most important material and design innovations. It will tackle questions such as:
• What are innovative materials?
• What is the future of footwear materials innovation?
• What do the innovations offer and at what cost?
• How do I specify them?
