FDDI CFDT seminar a great success

Centre for Footwear Design & Technology (CFDT) of the Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI) had organized a daylong seminar on 'Career Opportunities Available in the field of Footwear' at FDDI Noida on 30th November 2007.
Mrs. Patricia Sumner, Head of International Office, Chalsea College of Arts & Design, University of the Arts express her views on the topic.
On this occasion Mr. Rajeev Lakhara, IRS, Managing Director, FDDI, said, “This is where learning in FDDI makes the difference. First, we provide the right knowledge. Secondly, we impart the right skill. Finally, we try to shape the right aptitude in our students by way of such seminars. The results are there for everyone to see. We have an excellent campus placement record, with top-of-the-line companies.”
Mrs. Patricia Sumner was highly impressed with the infrastructure & services provided by FDDI to the industry.
On this occasion a presentation was given by Mrs. Patricia Sumner, at the FDDI's auditorium, which was attended by students & faculty members of FDDI.
Mrs. Patricia spoke about the Post Graduate & PhD programmes offered in the area of Footwear, Fashion and Designing by University of the Arts, London.
Mrs. Patricia invited FDDI students aspiring to go abroad for higher studies in field of fashion, footwear & design.
She informed that there is a huge requirement of trained professionals in the area of Footwear, Fashion, Retail & Designsector in Europe as well. She said that big designers like Armani, D&G, Versace are regularly looking for trained professionals in these areas.
Mrs. Patricia sum up the seminar by answering the queries put up by the students of FDDI. Dy. Director (Technical) & Asst. Director (Training) proposed Mrs. Patricia to have an exchange programme where the faculty & students from FDDI can be sent to their University in London for training & in the same way the faculty & students from London can visit FDDI for training.
