Kalki showcases Inara collection at Lakme Fashion Week in India

Heralding the seasons of spring and summer with the beauty of cherry blossoms, the ‘Inara’ creations were a medley of exquisite detailing. Crafted expertise was evident for the 3D geometric and floral motifs along with tassels and fringes, which created a medley of style and panache. Colours that floated down the ramp moved gracefully from passion crimson bloom, verdant emerald grove, tranquil azure mist and then moved gently to royal violet and rosy onyx.

The silhouettes offered a variety that moved elegantly from glamorous evening wear to stunning opulent bridal creations. Mermaid style lehengas and grand western gowns were ideal for the blushing brides. For that after dark soiree, jackets and capes would definitely add drama, while asymmetric drapes for skirts and power shoulders created bold fashion statements, the designers said in a press release.

Texturing was the leitmotif of the looks that formed the focus foundation of the collection. Cascading ruffles, layers, pre-pleating techniques recreated the beauty of cherry blossoms and were the highlight of the ensembles. In addition, the ombre treatment along with strategic cut outs brought an innovative touch, while feathers gave a hint of luxurious softness and drama.
