Vietnam National Textile and Apparel Group, (Vinatex), is encouraging its members to gradually develop fashion brand names that would have the potential to achieve success in both domestic and exporting markets.
Reportedly, Viantex has asked Viet Tien Apparel Co to develop key fashionable shirts, Veston suit for Nha Be Apparel Co, Jeans goods and elastic trousers for Phuong Dong Garment Co, Phong Phu Textile Corporation to produce jean shirts and high-end towels, Thanh Cong Textile to specialize in stylish knitted-wears and Hanosimex to promote elastic goods.
Meanwhile, Viet Fashion Company is assigned to develop brand Vinatex to become leading fashion name, with a system of 80 shops and supermarkets across the country by 2010.
In this system, other member companies of Vinatex could put their goods on sale as well as other goods of cosmetic sector.
Vinatex in January–July period this year posted a 19.4 percent surge in revenue and a 47.9 percent jump in profits.
Some of the company's subsidiaries, including the Viet Tien, Nha Be and Phong Phu companies, posted earnings of up to VND15 billion (US $900,000) in the period.
