US' Nike x Patta unveil new running team capsule collection

Nike and Patta have teamed up again for the Nike x Patta Running Team capsule, a collection that combines performance running gear with lifestyle pieces.
It aims to inspire runners of all backgrounds and features leggings, varsity jackets, track suits, and an updated Air Huarache sneaker.
The collection will be available from April 26 at Patta stores and online.

Nike and Patta are uniting again with the Nike x Patta Running Team capsule, a celebration of camaraderie, culture and accomplishment. More than a collection of apparel and footwear, the collaboration is a testament to a shared pursuit of greatness and inspires athletes of all ages and backgrounds to claim their space in the running world.

The line embraces the distinctive attitudes of Nike and Patta, balancing an exploration of performance running with elevated lifestyle pieces while encouraging the next generation of runners to unlock their full potential and acknowledging those who laid the foundation for their pursuits. That speaks to the heart of the Patta Running Team’s mission: inspiring athletes with different backgrounds and ambitions to come together as a group; help each other over the finish line; see new places; and, most importantly, have fun.

“Patta Running Team was born from a desire to connect with like-minded individuals around the world through the universal language of running,” says Patta cofounder Edson Sabajo, who started the team in Amsterdam in 2010. “It’s about discovering new places, forging new connections and embracing freedom. Running transcends borders. Because when you run, your mind and spirit are set free to think and dream.”

Highlights within the unisex collection include leggings made from lenticular three-color material and a heavyweight wool and leather varsity jacket that incorporates nods to Patta Running Team achievements and dedication.

Track and race suits, tops, shorts and a running vest are also included in the capsule, and its campaign features Nike runner Sifan Hassan, who embodies strength and resilience as a two-time gold medalist for the Netherlands.

Completing the collection is an updated Air Huarache hybrid sneaker, offered in three colorways, that seamlessly blends a classic Huarache Plus upper with a Pegasus sole and incorporates premium leather overlays, a mesh underlay featuring a bootie construction, and a closure secured by nylon webbing. The tongue of the shoe showcases the “Patta Air” graphic, and each pair comes with a Patta custom towel included in the packaging.

Premium reflective graphics and the Patta Panther running mascot are evident throughout the collection, which is available at patta.nl and in Patta stores April 26 and on SNKRS and in select Nike partner stores May 2.
