Curtain falls on Paris Fashion week with Jacob's Louis Vuitton show
06 Mar '06
1 min read
The four-week fashion extravaganza ended in Paris yesterday, with a splendid show by Designer Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton.
Collection emphasized sober and stylish look with wide trousers paired with straight tops and knitted dresses with three-quarter length trousers.
Audience included French actress Catherine Deneuve and pop star Pharrell Williams who praised the designer.
Deneuve said that everyone wants a show in Paris because besides being the fashion capital of the world it was something special.
Hollywood stars were hardly present probably considering the Academy Awards later in the evening.
Jean-Paul Gaultier also presented a spectacular show with featuring cats and dogs.
Holographic appearance of supermodel Kate Moss was the theme of Alexander McQueen's show.
Black was a dominant colour pointing towards a more sober look and flowing layers represented class and elegance.
Other prominent styles were skin-coloured dresses with a blue and green see-through layer on top.
