Ohio based branded footwear retailer DSW Inc reported a comparable store sales increase of 11.6 percent for the four weeks ended January 28, 2006 compared to the four weeks ended January 29, 2005.
Net sales for the four weeks increased 23.0 percent to $71.6 million from $58.2 million last year.
For the fourth quarter ended January 28, 2006, the Company reported a comparable store sales increase of 11.3 percent. Net sales for the fourth quarter increased 22.5 percent to $283.8 million from $231.7 million last year.
Comparable store sales increased 5.4 percent for the year ended January 28, 2006. Net sales for the year increased 19.0 percent to $1.14 billion from $961.1 million last year.
Historically, the Company provided monthly comparable store sales results. As previously announced, beginning in fiscal 2006 the Company will only report comparable store sales results on a quarterly basis.
