The Murjani Group plans to bring in premium brand Calvin Klein to India with four stores planned to start, end of 2007.
Mohan Murjani, Chairman, Murjani Group said that different options are being considered for the brand in India.
Stores for innerwear range and accessories along with brand stores are also on the cards.
Murjani informed that setting up of freestanding stores for Calvin Klein and French Connection UK (FCUK) as well as shop-in-shop format at larger retail outlets is also being considered.
Tommy Hilfiger brand is already being retailed by the company in India with plans to set up four Gucci and Jimmy Choo stores by end of 2007.
Murjani said the company plans bringing in premium or specialised category luxury brands into India in couple of years, and then bring in lower band between premium and mass brands.
Vijay Murjani, Managing Director, Murjani group said, that the company plans to build-a-bear (BAB) format and have between 50 and 100 outlets in coming five years.
It will be a mass format with presence in malls as well as high streets.
Flagship store of about 2,000 square feet is planned but the average store size for this brand will be between 1,200-1,500 square feet.
Murjani informed that pricing would be almost at par with prices in Dubai or Singapore, with the starting level for BAB being Rs 500.
The group also plans launching Tumi luggage brand in India.
