Oldest & most prestigious fashion brand Murphy&Nye launches women's collection for Autumn/Winter season of 2006-07.

The women's collection presents three lines that draw on distinct sources of inspiration: 'Historical', 'Heritage' and 'Functional'.

All three comprise a series of different looks, making it possible to create striking 'product window displays' that encapsulate the Murphy&Nye woman of the coming winter season.

Historical: This line pursues a fresh take on historical naval garments. Inspired by great sail-lofts, it captures the flavour, details and construction characteristics of sails.

Cuts mirror current trends, yet still preserve the qualities of the original garments and create eye-catching looks.

Coats and jackets made of special fabrics like 'Jackson LGT Dear', 'Reverse LGT' and 'Driver Oil' are guaranteed to make a big impact. The colour palette opts for Dark Brown, Dust White and Ecru 'injected' with details in Red.

Heritage: This is the line that most closely reflects the nautical tradition. Here we find timeless classics like the reefer coat (Sloppy) and the overcoat (Spar-06) produced in laminated cloth (New Cloth Wool). Down jackets made of 'Epic' Poplin and the new 'Heavy Rip Stop HD Nylon' reveal exciting new design features.

Winter jackets in waterproof cotton (Jackson Coloured Dear) offer new cuts and colour combinations. The colours are those typically associated with the navy: Navy, Ice,Red and Grey, beautifully alternated for a sober, recherché look.
