Senior management promotions at Brown Shoe Company

Footwear retailer Brown Shoe Company Inc announced the following promotions within its senior management team: Brown Shoe President Diane Sullivan was also named COO; Andrew Rosen has been promoted to Executive VP and continues as CFO, and Michael Oberlander has been promoted to SVP, and continues as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.
Ron Fromm, Brown Shoe's Chairman and CEO, said, "The leadership and expertise of this team has been instrumental in Brown Shoe's success in recent years, from large-scale undertakings like the completion of our acquisition of Bennett Footwear last April, to our day-to-day brand building and the shaping of our portfolio."
"As we plan for continued growth in 2006 and beyond, Diane, Andy and Mike will play critical roles in achieving the goals we've set for Brown Shoe," Ron said.
Ms Sullivan joined Brown Shoe in December 2003 as its President. In her new role as President and COO, she also assumes oversight of the company's international operations, including worldwide sourcing and Brown Shoe International Sales & Licensing. She continues to oversee the company's Famous Footwear, Brown Shoe Wholesale, Bennett Wholesale, Shoes.com and Specialty Retail operating divisions.
Rosen joined Brown Shoe in 1974, and most recently held the position of Senior VP and CFO. He oversees Brown Shoe's Corporate Governance and the following departments: Treasury, Accounting and Budgeting, Legal, Risk Management, Strategic Planning, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications, Total Rewards and Executive Compensation.
