French fashion house Christian Dior announced the appointment of Patricia Malone as President and Chief Operating Officer. She will assume her new role on April 26.
Malone held the position of Gucci CEO and President for eight years. She joined Gucci's US division in 1985 and after a three-year stint as merchandise manager at Fendi USA returned to the fashion brand in 1994.
In 1995, Malone moved to Florence to take the post of director of global merchandising at Gucci and became the New York-based President of Gucci America in 1997.
In the years Malone was President of Gucci America, sales of the brand doubled and the number of directly controlled stores moved from 20 to close to 40.
Christian Dior – The group's principal activities are the production and sale of: Christian Dior Couture, Champagne & Wines, Brandy & Spirits, Fashion & Leather Goods, Perfumes & Cosmetics and Selective Retailing.
Other activities are conducted through Givenchy Couture, Kenzo Mode, Christian Lacroix, Desfosses International, Fred jewellery and Investir.
