Wet Seal comparable store sales up 17% in April

The company indicated it expects a modest single-digit comparable store sales increase for the month of May, reflecting the combined effect of a continuation of solid sales trends as experienced in the first quarter, offset by an almost 57 percent comparable store sales increase in May last year.
During the four-week period ended April 29th 2006, the company opened one Wet Seal store. It operated 309 Wet Seal stores and 92 Arden B stores.
