Fashion Buildings have set the date of their bargains, and most will start on July 1st. This date is the same as the previous year, and with department stores entering their sales campaigns around the same time, July will be a price down month for the whole market.
The comparatively early start for bargains has been upsetting to the tenants of the buildings but not enough to delay the sales.
The consumers have already accepted the early start of sales and they are expecting sales to start in July. Having to hold items on original price whilst most are in sale prices, is not something that could be tolerated, thereby tenants are planning their merchandising schedule in accordance with the early sales season.
There are fashion buildings that are not joining in on the July 1st start. They believe that not being in bargain prices whilst others are does not affect sales too much. Their take is that if the consumers have brand awareness towards the building. In such cases, building managers ask their tenants to hold stock of their best selling items for the sales season.
Fashion buildings that have great popularity have customers lined up outside the doors on the first day of bargains, and some are even considering opening up earlier than usual for sales. Buildings are coming up with novelty gifts for those who line up for the opening and coming up with other ways to increase visitors.
