VATA Brasil tastes success at BC Fashion Week

This past March, ultimate fitness wear company VATA Brasil was chosen from dozens of designers to be featured in BC Fashion Week, an international event held April 4-9th in Vancouver where the fashion industry comes together to celebrate 'ready to wear' fashion lines from innovative, emerging Canadian designers.
Our show, held at 4:30pm April 8 at the Scotiabank Dance Centre, met with rave reviews, where our collection was showcased to retailers, buying houses, distributors, wholesalers, agents, the media and individual buyers.
BC Fashion Week aims to establish Vancouver as an emerging global fashion centre along with Milan, Paris, London, New York, and Sydney.
“Being selected as a featured designer for BC Fashion week marks a huge success for us,” says President and CEO Mario Gomes, “It will improve recognition of the VATA brand and will make local and global business community take note.”
Several international buyers and media were present.
Designed by athletes, for athletes, VATA Brasil clothing is constructed to stand up to the demands of serious athletes. Bright colours, sexy body hugging cut, and FreeFit -- the unique fabric that stretches so one size fits all women sized 0-14 are key features of this workout wear line.
"The beauty of Vata Brasil", says Gomes, "is that you can go from the Grouse Grind to the Stanley Park Seawall, to the yoga studio; from the gym or fitness centre to the grocery store and still look and feel great".
