Fashion offering firm Chico's June sales up

Designed apparel offering company Chico's FAS Inc reported June sales results for the five-week period ended July 1, 2006, increased 17.1 percent to $153.3 million from $131.0 million reported for the prior year's five-week period ended July 2, 2005.
Comparable store sales for the Company-owned stores increased 5.1 percent for the five-week period ended July 1, 2006, compared to the same five-week period last year.
For the twenty-two weeks ended July 1, 2006, total sales increased 19.3 percent to $686 million from $575 million for the same period a year ago.
Comparable store sales for the Company-owned stores increased 6.4 percent for the twenty-two week period compared to the same twenty-two week period last year.
Chico's is a specialty retailer of private label, sophisticated, casual-to-dressy clothing, intimates, complementary accessories, and other non-clothing gift items.
