Zumiez Inc's same store sales up 8.4% for four-week period

Zumiez Inc, a leading specialty retailer of action sports related apparel, footwear, equipment and accessories, announced that total net sales for the four-week period ended July 29, 2006 increased 44.6 percent to $19.8 million, compared to $13.7 million for the four-week period ended July 30, 2005.

The company's comparable store sales increased 8.4 percent for the four-week period, versus a comparable store sales increase of 12.7 percent in the year ago period. The company completed its acquisition of 19 Fast Forward stores on June 24, 2006. These stores are not included in the company's comparable store base.
