This new system Scout combines waterproofing, breathability and temperature regulation. In this way the feet will neither be too cold nor too hot in periods of Scout is a mulit-layered system and is processed as a shoe lining: nearest to the foot is a textile-layer. This is followed by an acrylate layer with integrated PCM capsules, a stabilizing foam, and then the Sympatex membrane laminated onto the backing material.
Tests at independent institutes, as for example the Hohenstein research institute and the TNO testing and research institute document the climate and temperature-regulating function of Outlast and Sympatex, so that an optimal functioning of both technologies is guaranteed in the new system.
Scout fulfils of course the ISO 20344 guidelines for safety, protective and professional footwear for industrial use.
