Former Miss Wales Imogen Thomas' appearance at a trendy fashion event was cancelled at the last minute because of lukewarm interest shown on her by the media and the public.
The trendy designer outlet Guess was supposed to bring former Miss Wales Imogen Thomas to Dublin for a glitzy launch at its upmarket city centre venue.
Her romantic links with Finglas DJ Spiral and also her photogenic appeal was expected to attract the crowds and ensure widespread media coverage at the new shop just off Grafton Street.
Contrary to the expectations, the shop was surprised to discover that very few media outlets were keen on interviews or any kind of follow up on the visit, perhaps because of her waning popularity.
Until now, Trendy Guess has hosted a series of highly-publicised events in its South Anne Street shop, including, most recently, an appearance by Calum Best and his Celebrity Love Island co-star Bianca Gascoigne.
The Guess store has close associations with A-list celebrities, including Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Anna Nicole Smith, and Paris Hilton, while fans of the brand include Desperate Housewives star Eva Langoria and Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas.
