Fossil congratulates champ of 'What's Your Tinspiration?' contest

Fossil congratulates Glenn Mason for his grand prize winning design in the "What's Your Tinspiration?" tin design contest. He is a graduate of Montclair State University in NJ and the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Fossil received over 250 tin design submissions at fossil.com/design. Visitors to the site ranked the tin designs to determine the top 30 designs.

From the 30 top- ranked designs, Glenn's design was chosen by an internal panel of Fossil judges as the winning design! Glenn's grand prize package includes a trip to Fossil's headquarters to tour the Fossil design studio, a $1000 gift certificate to fossil.com and the bragging rights of having his winning design put into production in 2007. Glenn's winning design can be viewed by end of day today at it's website.

"The most important criteria for judging this contest was the ability of each contestant to apply their personal creative style to our 'vintage' brand identity and bring a unique visual perspective through the use of color, typography and illustration," said Tim Hale, Senior Vice President of the Fossil Image Group. "We felt that Mr. Mason's design clearly captured this theme and expressed the vintage inspiration that influenced him."

Second, third and fourth place finishers in the contest will also receive Fossil gift certificates and have their artwork produced on a limited edition run of Fossil's watch tins next year. In addition, fifth through tenth place finishers will receive gift certificates and all top 30 finishers will receive a Fossil watch.
