PUMA (PUMA Japan K.K. and PUMA APPAREL Japan) announced the signing of professional golfer, Hideto Tanihara. Starting in 2007, PUMA becomes the official supplier of all Tanihara's golf footwear and apparel.
Tanihara has won four tour titles in Japan and earned second place in the prize money rankings in Japan for 2006. Popular with fans in Japan and beyond, his biggest success to date was an outstanding showing at The British Open Championships in 2006, where Tanihara finished tied for fifth place at 11-under par. It was one of the best results ever for a Japanese player in the majors.
