Celebrating 10 years of fostering Australia's hottest design talents 2007 L'Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival Designer Award presented by Tiffany & Co.

Across Australia independent boutiques and department stores alike are searching for the hottest new labels. The strengthening of the independent market can be attributed to the incredible support provided by the L'Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival and the integrity of the LMFF Designer Award presented by Tiffany & Co. This award is nationally recognised as the coveted prize that will kick start the next stage of a designer's career.

This prestigious Award promotes excellence within the Australian fashion industry and has helped to launch the successful careers of past winners including Toni Maticevski, Claude Maus, Mad Cortes, and Josh Goot.

The LMFF Designer Award presented by Tiffany & Co. recognises designers in their first five years of business, who excel in creative design, quality and who show potential for industry longevity.

Karen Webster, Festival Director (LMFF) says, “The LMFF Designer Award presented by Tiffany & Co. offers an outstanding and inspiring platform to celebrate and cultivate exceptional talent and present newcomers to the local and international arena.”

Ms Webster said she was overwhelmed by the quality and depth of talent submitting their collections this year. “This has been the hardest year to narrow down the field simply because so many of the entrants were exceptional. The standard of construction and creativity displayed were remarkable. Whoever wins, will be a talent to be reckoned with.”
