LMFF Salon Shows presented by the City of Stonnington

Melbourne's City of Stonnington, encompassing the famed shopping mecca of Chapel Street and its alternative little sister, Greville Street, is a unique and special destination for fashion in Australia.

The 2007 L'Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival celebrates this rich and varied style precinct with a series of intimate Salon Shows, presented by the City of Stonningon, in the historic and beautiful Prahran Town Hall.

A favourite on the Festival's fashion calendar, the Salon Shows bring together groups of designers providing a forum for spectacular one-off fashion experiences from Australia's favourite fashion brands. These select fashion shows are a must-see.

Salon Show: Pump up the Volume -Tuesday 6 March, 10.00pm:
The young, the brave and the beat on the street are key ingredients in this Salon Show.

With a party-like atmosphere, the edgiest fashion labels in Prahran – Amar, Ammo, Ed Hardy, Fool, Jaakan, Nique, Phillips, Spirritt and Stevie - strut their stuff.

Salon Show: Cocktail Hour - Friday 9 March, 6.00m:
The Salon Shows make a stylish splash thanks to a sparkling group show of Melbourne's most elegant labels, including Feathers, Jenny Bannister, Nicolangela, Lisa Barron, Zapa Paris and Dom Bagnato.

Solo Salon Shows:
From international sophistication to fresh local talent, the solo Salon Shows offer something for everyone. If you're in love with European rock star chic, look no further than the Armani Exchange stand alone show (Friday 9 March, 10.00pm).

For the latest on the season's must-have accessories including eyewear and handbags, the Oroton Accessories Style Workshop supported by In Style (Wednesday 7 March, 2.30pm) will be an inspiration. The Peter Alexander solo show (Tuesday 6 March, 2.30pm) will celebrate his 20th anniversary in a refreshing burst of fashion and fun.
