Influenced by the Carnaby Street look of the 60s, with style popularized by designers like Mary Quant and models Twiggy and Jane Shrimpton, Anita set the ramps rocking with the beat of that era.
Presenting a sharply tailored line of dresses, tunics, fitted trousers, jackets, wide palazzos, midis and long gowns all created from men's suiting fabrics which never looked more glamorous, Anita gave the most feminine touches with subtle embroidery placements. She also added an oversized line of comfortable knit tunics and dresses with stark designing touches.
Her colours were very controlled with brown, grey and black with flashes of white for choirboy collars, cuffs and belts. To keep the Autumn/Winter theme in its right perspective; Anita had belted ponchos in ivory or brown worn with skinny pants, brown military belted jacket with slim trousers, a striking dolman sleeve white knit kimono top, and sleek knit sheaths, off shoulder knit roll collar minis worn with tights and a formal wool knit will-power knee length dress.
Her black and white collection of dresses was elegantly styled and tailored with just the right amount of glitter for scalloped hemlines or bell sleeves with geometric zig zag shimmer. Velvet brosso was turned into an off-the-shoulder gown while some peach finish fabrics were for cocktail dresses.
Ending the show with a glamorous velvet skirt and strappy blouse for actor Isha Koppikar, Anita Dongre had the right styling directions with wearable well finished garments which will please lovers of timeless fashion.
