Winners announced for inaugural 'Design a Bag Competition 2007'

Winners of the first on-line international bag design competition were announced in Hong Kong at the Fashion Access Party, held during APLF in Hong Kong.
A packed Tribeca Club, a New York style nightclub in Hong Kong's Wanchai area, applauded as Chairman Emeritus of fashion giant Liz Claiborne, Mr Paul Charron, presented prizes to some of the winners.
'Design A Bag Competition 2007' was the inaugural event in a planned series of online design competitions for the international fashion industry.
The competition was organised by Fashion Access and was open to all designers and design students around the world. There were separate categories for students and professional designers.
Entries had to be submitted in digital format on-line, which allowed remote participation by designers, design students and judges. Over 250 entries from 20 countries submitted drawings on the themes of FIT, SLICK and PARTY.

Best of APLF Awards: The 7th Best of APLF Awards ceremony was held at the Fashion Access networking party on the evening of 29 March 2007. The Best of APLF Awards aim at recognising design excellence, originality, use of materials and accessories and outstanding workmanship of products exhibited at APLF.
Mr Tak-Wai Lai, a freelance designer from Hong Kong, received an award from Mr Paul Charron, Chairman Emeritus.
